After my third year of medical school at Boston University I decided to defer my graduation to spend time as a researcher in the Adipose Stem Cell Center at the University of Pittsburgh. I am excited to work with my fellow lab members and hope this year will be both a productive and enlightening research experience. My research will focus on the search for pharmacologically active compounds that increase adipogenesis in 3T3-L1 and human ASCs with the goal of increasing fat graft retention. Outside of the lab, I plan to acquaint myself with Pittsburgh, particularly Heinz field and all things Andy Warhol.
