I am a Medical Doctor graduated from Gadjah Mada University and I have my masters in Biomedical Sciences from University of Indonesia. I previously worked at the Stem Cell and Cancer Institute in Jakarta, Indonesia.
As a medical doctor, I see how stem cells have brought new hope for patients suffering from incurable diseases. I came to Pittsburgh under the Fulbright Presidential Scholarships to continue my PhD training in the Department of Bioengineering. I joined to the adipose stem cell lab since I was so impressed with the integrative approach this lab is working on, as seen on its projects. We are exploring adipose stem cell therapies from bench to clinical trials, from culture to animal models; an approach that would allow us to get closer to the clinical implementation.
