Meg McLaughlin

I am originally from Orchard Park, NY and came to Pittsburgh in 2007 to attend the University of Pittsburgh.  I started here in the Adipose Stem Cell Lab shortly after my graduation in May of 2011.  I received a B.S in Biological Sciences and a B.A. in Classics with a minor in Chemistry and a certificate in the Conceptual Foundations of Medicine.  I am interested in a career in medicine and a highlight of my undergraduate career was studying abroad in Costa Rica in the summer of 2010 in a program designed for pre-health professionals.  I am also interested in medical research and have already learned a great deal through my job as a lab technician.  My role as a lab technician is diverse, and I am fortunate enough to be able to work on a number of different projects going on in the lab.
